We have a number of Support Worker vacancies with an established healthcare provider within Reading and surrounding ares. We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Support Workers to provide support to adults and young people with various needs to make a positive difference to their lives.
You will be required to have the following:
Care experience of working in a similar role.
Experience of supporting people with autism, learning difficulties, mental health.
Relevant courses: Health and Social Care, NVQ
flexible to work a variety of shifts including weekends and sleeps/waking nights.
Good communication skills.
The ability to manage challenging situations.
A full, clean driving license would be an advantage but not essential.
An enhanced DBS check is required.
Duties:
You will support and encourage individuals to remain as active and independent as possible within the constraints of their needs.
Helping with daily personal care of individuals under the general guidance of senior staff. Ensuring that personal care is carried out with absolute dignity and respect.
Preparing and sharing mealtimes with the individual you are supporting.
Accompanying the people we support to attend activities in the community.
Assisting the individual with household duties such as shopping and cleaning.
Assisting the individual with finance management.
Accurately keep records up to date.
