Mediplacements are currently recruiting: Band 6 with Cellular Pathology experience

• Experienced at efficiently sectioning and embedding a large variety of paraffin processed tissue blocks. Competent in using modern, rotary microtomes and embedding stations. Experienced at performing BMS cut-up handling cat. A specimens.
• There may be opportunity to work in the Immunohistochemistry (IHC) section. Experience at using IHC platforms preferably Dako OMNIS and Roche Ventana would be required to facilitate this.
• Over 4 years� experience in sectioning/microtomy and immunohistochemistry.
• Managing increased workload
• Monday to Friday 9am - 5:pm 
• Training provided: will locums have access to training? Locums have access to same training as perm Training provided on specific laboratory processes that are relevant, but locum is expected to be able to use a microtome to section all types of tissue competently and efficiently. If the locum were to work in IHC they would require several years� experience of using IHC platforms. Locum BMS can attend any departmental seminars and meetings.
