Mediplacements are currently recruiting for a Highly Specialist Speech & Language Therapist specialising in Voice to join an established clinical service on an 8-week locum assignment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SLT to utilise their specialist voice skills within a joint voice clinic, working alongside ENT consultants to support adults with a range of voice disorders.

Key Responsibilities

Assess, diagnose and treat adults presenting with organic and functional voice disorders.

Participate in joint voice clinics alongside ENT consultants.

Develop and deliver evidence-based voice rehabilitation programmes.

Manage an independent clinical caseload across inpatient and outpatient settings as required.

Provide high-quality, patient-centred care and support patients with complex communication needs.

Essential Requirements

Degree or equivalent qualification in Speech & Language Therapy.

Current HCPC registration.

Experience working with adults with acquired communication and swallowing disorders.

Specialist clinical experience managing organic and functional voice disorders.

Strong assessment, diagnostic and treatment skills, with knowledge of laryngeal pathology and vocal fold mechanics.

Ability to manage and prioritise a clinical caseload independently.

Desirable Experience

Experience working alongside ENT teams.

Postgraduate training in voice disorders or laryngeal palpation.

RCSLT membership.

Experience using low-tech and high-tech AAC systems.
