Locum Band 7 Podiatrist – East Midlands
Mediplacements is currently recruiting for an experienced Band 7 Podiatrist to join a well-established NHS service in the East Midlands on a locum basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled podiatrist with substantial experience in diabetes and high-risk foot care, working as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver specialist assessment, treatment, and management of complex wound care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist assessment and management of patients with diabetes-related foot complications and high-risk foot conditions.
- Deliver complex podiatric care, including ulcer management, wound care, and offloading interventions.
- Undertake comprehensive vascular, neurological, and biomechanical assessments.
- Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans for patients with complex clinical needs.
- Work closely with diabetes, vascular, tissue viability, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service development where required.
Essential Requirements:
- HCPC registered Podiatrist.
- Appropriate post-graduate experience within podiatry.
- Significant experience providing diabetes and high-risk foot assessment and management.
- Experience managing complex podiatric caseloads within NHS or equivalent healthcare settings.
- Excellent clinical reasoning, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
