Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm

Hours per week: 36 hours

The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Band 6 Pharmacy Technician to join the Radiopharmacy Aseptic Unit within the Nuclear Medicine Department at Ninewells Hospital.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician with strong aseptic experience and an understanding of radiopharmacy and radiation protection to work within a specialist clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working within the Radiopharmacy Aseptic Unit to prepare radiopharmaceutical tracers for patient administration.
  • Undertaking aseptic preparation in accordance with relevant procedures and quality standards.
  • Working safely within cleanroom environments.
  • Applying appropriate radiation protection methods and safe working practices.
  • Maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy and patient safety.
  • Working within established local clinical governance and quality processes.
  • Supporting the wider Nuclear Medicine/Radiopharmacy service as required.

Essential Experience

  • GPhC registration as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Previous experience working within an aseptic unit/cleanroom environment.
  • Competent in aseptic techniques.
  • Experience or knowledge of radiation protection methods.
  • Ability to work accurately and safely within a highly regulated clinical environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality, governance and patient safety requirements.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm (36 hours per week).

This is a long-term locum opportunity running through to December 2026, providing excellent continuity of work within a specialist NHS service.
