Locum Band 6 Podiatrist – East London

Mediplacements are currently recruiting for an experienced Band 6 Podiatrist to join a specialist team in East London on a locum basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside an experienced team of Podiatric Surgeons and Podiatrists, providing specialist care to a diverse range of patients with complex foot and lower limb conditions across both primary and secondary care settings.

The Role

You will assess, diagnose and manage a varied caseload, with opportunities to gain experience across specialist areas including:

• Diabetes and high-risk foot care
• Biomechanics and footwear
• Rheumatology
• Dermatology
• Paediatrics
• Minor and complex foot and ankle surgery
• Foot deformity and pathology
• Lesion and wound management

The role involves delivering skilled, evidence-based podiatric care tailored to individual patient needs. You will also have the opportunity to use specialist clinical skills, including local anaesthesia administration, wound/lesion debridement and intricate scalpel techniques.

Requirements

• HCPC registered Podiatrist
• Previous NHS or relevant clinical experience
• Experience working at Band 6 level or equivalent
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Confident managing a varied and complex caseload
• Experience with wound care/debridement and high-risk foot management desirable
• Excellent communication and MDT working skills
