Band 6 Locum Diabetes Podiatrist (Part time) – North West London

Mediplacements is currently recruiting for an experienced Band 6 Diabetes Podiatrist to join a well-established NHS service in North West London. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a specialist multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality diabetic foot care to patients with complex needs.

The Role

As a Band 6 Diabetes Podiatrist, you will be responsible for providing specialist assessment, treatment and management of patients with diabetes, helping to prevent complications and improve long-term outcomes. You will work closely with consultants, diabetes nurses, vascular teams and other healthcare professionals to deliver patient-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and treat patients with diabetic foot complications.
• Manage high-risk foot conditions, including ulcer care and infection management.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
• Provide patient education on foot health and diabetes management.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service development where required.

Requirements

• HCPC registered Podiatrist.
• Previous NHS experience at Band 6 level.
• Recent experience working within a diabetic/high-risk foot service.
• Strong clinical assessment and wound care skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
