We are currently seeking an experienced Band 7 Pharmacist to join the pharmacy team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly regarded multidisciplinary team, delivering specialist clinical pharmacy services to patients within a mental health setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • As a Band 7 Pharmacist, you will:
  • Provide expert clinical pharmacy input as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team (MDT).
  • Deliver specialist medicines advice to medical, nursing and allied healthcare professionals.
  • Advise on the safe and effective use of medicines, including unlicensed medicines and complex prescribing where the evidence base may be limited.
  • Liaise with Medicines Information Pharmacists to support clinical decision-making where appropriate.
  • Deliver a patient-focused clinical pharmacy service, ensuring medicines optimisation and high-quality pharmaceutical care.
  • Monitor patients for actual and potential adverse drug reactions and support safe medicines management.
  • Ensure the timely, accurate and appropriate supply of medicines for inpatients, including discharge medications where applicable.
  • Support the safe, effective and evidence-based use of medicines across the service.

Requirements

  • GPhC registration as a Pharmacist.
  • Previous NHS hospital pharmacy experience at Band 7 level or equivalent.
  • Strong clinical knowledge with experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing a varied clinical workload.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:15pm
