Are you an experienced Speech and Language Therapist looking to make a real difference in the lives of autistic children and young people?
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established specialist education provider for a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join their multidisciplinary therapy team on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly collaborative environment where therapy is embedded throughout the school day. You'll support children and young people aged 4–25 with autism, helping them develop the communication skills, confidence and independence needed to achieve their full potential.
The Role
As a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist, you will:
Manage a varied caseload of children and young people with autism and complex communication needs.
Carry out specialist assessments and develop individualised therapy programmes.
Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions.
Work alongside teachers and other therapists to embed communication strategies across the curriculum.
Produce high-quality reports and contribute to EHCP reviews and annual reviews.
Support and train education staff to implement effective communication strategies.
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to service development.
Maintain accurate clinical records and work in line with HCPC and RCSLT standards.
About You
You'll be:
HCPC registered and a member of the RCSLT.
An experienced Speech and Language Therapist, ideally working at Band 6 level.
Passionate about supporting autistic children and young people.
Confident carrying out assessments and writing detailed clinical reports.
Comfortable working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Organised, proactive and committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based therapy.
