Job Title: Band 7 CT & MRI Radiographer

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Band 7 CT & MRI Radiographer to join the imaging team on a full-time, three-month contract. The successful candidate must be fully trained and competent in both CT and MRI, enabling them to rotate across both modalities to support service delivery.
This role forms part of a seven-day imaging service and requires flexibility to work a range of shift patterns, including long days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT and MRI examinations in accordance with departmental protocols and national standards.
- Rotate between CT and MRI departments to meet operational requirements.
- Deliver safe, effective, and patient-centred imaging services.
- Ensure accurate patient identification, preparation, and positioning.
- Operate imaging equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining image quality.
- Administer contrast media in accordance with departmental policies and professional guidelines, where appropriately trained.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Comply with IR(ME)R, radiation protection regulations, and MRI safety procedures.
- Support multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely diagnosis and treatment.
- Participate in the departmental shift rota, including long days, nights, weekends, and other out-of-hours duties.
Essential Requirements
- HCPC registered Diagnostic Radiographer.
- Significant post-registration experience in both CT and MRI.
- Competent to work independently across both imaging modalities.
- Strong understanding of CT and MRI safety standards and best practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a busy acute hospital environment.
Flexible approach to working hours, including participation in a seven-day service.
