Mediplacements are recruiting for an experienced, multi-disciplinary Biomedical Scientist to join a leading laboratory service in Oxford.

Role overview

• Work across core Blood Sciences and one additional area (e.g., Haematology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or Microbiology), depending on experience.
• Perform sample analysis, validation, and reporting to agreed turnaround times.
• Contribute to QC/QA, instrument maintenance, and adherence to ISO 15189 standards.
• Support service improvements and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
• £31/hr Umbrella company 
• Core hours 
• Monday - Friday 

Requirements

• HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientist.
• Proven multi-disciplinary bench competence (at least two of: Haematology/Coag, Biochemistry, Immunology, Microbiology, Transfusion).
• Recent UK lab experience and familiarity with ISO 15189 and IQC/EQA.
• Flexibility for rota coverage (days; potential evenings/weekends as required).

Desirable

• NHS experience and knowledge of common LIMS and analysers (e.g., Sysmex, Abbott/Alinity, Roche Cobas)
• IBMS Specialist Portfolio
