The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing and reporting a range of ultrasound examinations, with a particular focus on obstetrics and gynecology. There will also be opportunities to further develop skills across additional ultrasound specialities.
Key Requirements
- A recognised UK ultrasound qualification (minimum postgraduate level or equivalent)
- Strong experience in obstetric and gynecological ultrasound scanning and reporting
- Experience working within a busy ultrasound department
- A strong understanding of clinical requests and the ability to use ultrasound effectively to answer diagnostic questions
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong IT literacy and administrative skills
- A professional and patient-focused approach to care
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Additional qualifications or advanced training in ultrasound
- Experience in general abdominal ultrasound
- Audit experience or involvement in quality improvement initiatives
- Evidence of ongoing professional development and additional training
