Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Band 8a Pharmacist to join a dynamic hospital team in North Wales on a locum basis. This role involves providing high-quality clinical pharmacy services across a range of wards, supporting multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring safe and effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver clinical pharmacy services to allocated wards

Review and optimise medication therapy for inpatients

Participate in ward rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings

Provide expert advice on medicines management to healthcare professionals

Support safe prescribing practices and medicines reconciliation

Supervise and support junior pharmacy staff where appropriate

Requirements

GPhC registration as a Pharmacist (essential)

Previous hospital ward-based experience at Band 7/8a level

Strong clinical knowledge and decision-making skills

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
