Mediplacements are seeking to recruit a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist for a locum vacancy in Perth.

The pay for this position is £24 per hour, and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for a 3 month duration.

Description:

• An experienced HCPC registered Specialist Biomedical Scientist is required to work within Diagnostics Labs, PRI laboratory (multidisciplinary, Blood Transfusion, Biochemistry and Haematology).

Essential experience:

• Core Biochemistry
• Core Haematology
• Blood Transfusion
• Blood Film Morphology
• Malarial parasite screening and identification
• Working out of hours

Desirable experience:

• Use of Clinysis Winpath Enterprise Laboratory IT systems
• Experience with BioRad IH500 / eTraceline
• Use of Siemens Advia 2120 analysers
• Use of ACL coagulation analysers
• Use of Siemens Atellica

SHIFTS:

• The post will be primarily for day shift working but may be required to train and work all shifts below within the multidisciplinary laboratory which includes Blood Transfusion, Biochemistry and Haematology.

Shift Types:

• 09:00 – 17:00
• 13:00 – 21:00
• 09:00 – 21:00
• 21:00 – 09:00
