Mediplacements are looking to recruit a Band 7 Mortuary Manager for a locum position with our client in Essex.

The pay for this position is £32 per hour, and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for an ongoing duration.

Experience: 

• Experience of managing or supervising staff
• Able to deal with every aspect of personal care of the deceased
• At least three years post qualification experience of working in a Mortuary
• Managing people and challenging situations
• Experience of participating in audits
• Budget management experience
• Recruitment and Selection, Appraisal and other relevant HR/People management training

Qualifications:

• Degree in Anatomical Pathology Technology or equivalent qualification or relevant experience
• Leadership or management development qualification or equivalent experience

Knowledge:

• To be able to manage the daily operations of the mortuary, Medical Examiner's Office and staff.
• Understanding of Information Governance and Confidentiality
• Understanding of equality and diversity issues and how this affects patients, visitors and staff.
• Relevant knowledge and understanding of the Coroners and Justice Act 2009
