Mediplacements are looking to recruit a band 7 Speech and Language Therapist for a locum position with our client in London. The pay for this position is £27-£35 per hour, and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for an ongoing duration. Job Description: Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist with competent experience in community rehabilitation of patient with new stroke diagnosis. Develop highly specialist appropriate assessments and treatment programmes and create appropriate resources for therapeutic intervention. Contribute to multidisciplinary support for clients with a range of swallow and communication difficulties. Provide feedback, advice and training to family members, carers and members of the multidisciplinary team regarding communication needs and swallowing difficulties and strategies to facilitate development. To provide highly specialist clinical/technical skills for interpretive assessment techniques, e.g. reading videofluoroscopic / FEES examinations. Degree in Speech & language therapy and HCPC registered is required. Experience working in the community within the NHS.
