Mediplacements are recruiting for an experienced band 5 Biomedical Scientist in Biochemistry for a locum role with our client located in London.

The pay for this position is £19 per hour, and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for an ongoing duration.

Working Hours: 0900- 17.30
Expected length of the assignment: 50 weeks

Skills required:
-Work on a rotational basis across all sections of the H&I laboratory, performing a range of scientific and technical duties under supervision, including sample handling, processing, and analysis.
-Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota to support urgent transplant work.
-Maintain accurate records, contribute to the laboratory's quality management system, and ensure compliance with local and national guidelines (including UKAS, EFI, MHRA, and HTA).
-Support the maintenance and cleaning of laboratory equipment and manage stock levels.
-Communicate effectively with colleagues, clinicians, and other healthcare professionals, and participate in departmental meetings.
-Undertake laboratory assays as required.
-Adhere to Trust values, policies, and procedures, including those relating to health and safety, equality and diversity, safeguarding, and infection control.
-Contribute to audit, research, and service improvement activities as required.

The successful candidate must be HCPC registered and have experience in Biochemistry.
