Mediplacements are currently looking to recruit an experienced Oncology Pharmacist for a locum role in London.

The pay for this position is £27-£35 per hour, and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for an ongoing duration.

Provide a comprehensive and patient centered clinical pharmacy service to patients at the Duchess of Devonshire Wing (adult cancer services)
* Provide release of chemotherapy products according to GMP
* Facilitate and promote rational and optimal medicines usage
* Provide assimilated and relevant medicines information to healthcare professionals and patients
* To participate in the out of hours pharmacy service as per agreed roster

Principal Activities/Main Duties and Responsibilities
Ward Pharmacy
* Provide a comprehensive and effective patient centered Clinical Pharmacy service to designated Oncology/Haematology wards
* Lead on and develop elements of the clinical pharmacy service to improve the patient experience.
* Contribute proactively to ensure optimal medicines usage by patients and healthcare professionals.
* Contribute actively to service improvements on allocated nursing areas in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team
* Provide appropriate proactive and assimilated medicines information and education to patients and their carers, prescribers and other healthcare staff
