Mediplacements are looking to recruit a Band 7 Permanent Senior MRI Radiographer in London
Contract Type: Permanent, full time hours 37.5hrs (including shifts patterns from 8am - 8pm with requirements for weekend on-call)
Vacancy Summary:
As Senior MRI Radiographer you will provide a customer focused, high quality diagnostic Radiography service to our patients and service users; based primarily in the MRI team with occasional need to rotate into other areas, such as General or CT.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide a professional standard of excellence in radiographic services for all patients
Routinely perform all imaging processing, including basic PACS tasks e.g. loading images onto PACS.
Assist the day to day running of the imaging service
Assist with patient bookings and administrative duties where necessary, ensuring verified radiologist reports are delivered in a timely manner
To have CT experience and be competent in CT scanning.
Training in CT will be provided for dedicated examinations and specific protocols.
Share clinical knowledge with junior colleagues both formally (through CPD sessions/clinical competency forms) and informally (ad hoc teaching/training opportunities).
To participate on the shift rotation in all modalities, and undertake weekend and On-call duties in General and CT
To help with booking of immediate/on the day appointments and maintain appropriate departmental records as necessary.
Skills & Experience:
HCPC registered
Degree within Radiography
Strong background in MRI scanning
Knowledge of processes and procedures in radiography
