Mediplacements are looking for a Dietitian to work with our client based in Manchester.

Adult Acute Dietitian
Band 6
Salary: £20 - 30 per hour
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: 8wks from SD *potential to be extended*
Working Pattern: 37.5 // Mon - Fri // 08:30 - 16:30

Specific Skills/Experience/Training Required:
*Enhanced DBS & HCPC Registration required (E)
*Useful skills; communication - team work - flexibility
*Responsible for assessment of patients w diverse/complex presentations/multi-pathologies to identify problems & needs ensuring patient's medical, biochemical, pharmacological, psychological, social & cultural factors are taken into account (E)
*Accurate measurements to assess nutritional status & body composition including anthropometry, percent weight change, skin fold thickness, dynamometry, plotting growth charts, calculating height velocity and BMI/weight for height (E)
*Facilitate safe & timely patient discharge & to determine outcome of dietetic management of the patient (E)
*Can not consider; lower bands - remote working - weekend work.
*Patient type & caseload = inpatient & outpatient caseload acute medical/surgical wards busy caseload around 6-8 patients daily. Covering; oral nutrition support, enteral feeding. Desirably experience with parental nutrition.
*Team dynamic = clinically supervised by B7 of particular speciality - acute & rehab team & renal team have team lead - peer support from B6's - no clinical supervision responsibilities.
