Mediplacements are recruiting for a Podiatrist to work for one of our well respected and established private clients based in South Shields, Tyne & Wear.

The client is looking for a candidate who is able to do house calls within the South Tyneside area for 2 half days per week preferably Monday and Tuesday but our client is happy for any 2 days of the week depending on candidate availability.

Duties -

* Work as part of the AQP podiatry team, providing assessment and treatment for patients referred for assessment and intervention.
* Be responsible for the comprehensive assessment, treatment planning, delivery evaluation and discharge of evidence-based podiatry intervention in appropriate locations, for example patients' homes and other community locations.
* Assess and treat a caseload which may include complex cases, and refer onward in areas where it falls outside of our remit. (Low/Medium risk patients).
* As an autonomous practitioner working outside of the clinic the candidate would need high level problem solving and reasoning skills and be able liaise with local GP surgeries and or other medical professionals, to arrange ABs, etc.
* Promote health and reduce inequalities for individuals, families, and communities, optimise opportunities for health promotion and health education to enable patients to maximise their potential in terms of reasonable self-care.

Pay will be anywhere between £25 - £27 DOE
