Mediplacements are recruiting for a Paediatric Speech & Language Therapist who is looking to work in the Kent region.

Job Summary: We require staff who can work independently and manage a designated caseload from the outset. The following sessions are available : *Children's Speech and Language Therapy (schools and early years) *Integrated Therapies Team (special schools and early years ) Integrated Therapies dysphagia specialist - The Children's Therapies Service in East Kent (Canterbury and Thanet)has two strands and in both areas are committed to ensuring the best outcomes for our children and families. The Children's Speech and Language Therapy team support children in mainstream special school and special school settings with SLCN, this includes assessment and direct intervention. The team work closely with education to provide a broad range of training opportunities. Within early years assessment and intervention is delivered for children with SLCN , including dysfluency, language, speech The Integrated Therapies schools team support children with SLCN or those with no functional communication who require AAC as well as working with children with dysphagia. You will be offering assessment, direct and indirect intervention, support for classroom implementation as well as providing training to education staff and parents. There are opportunities for work with both Mainstream and Special Schools settings. You will be working with assistants and providing support and supervision to them. The Integrated Therapies Early Years team focuses on supporting children to develop functional communication, with a strong emphasis on AAC. Within the integrated team you will work alongside Physiotherapists; Occupational therapists and the Care co-ordination team.

Dates: ASAP - Ongoing
Days & Hours: Part time / full time considered 7.5 hours per day Working days Monday to Friday
