Mediplacements are recruiting for a Band 6 Adult Elderly Care Speech & Language Therapist who is looking to work in the Surrey region.

Start Date: ASAP
Grade:Band 6
Hours:Full Time - 37.5 hrs

Job Purpose
*To provide a Speech and Language Therapy Service consisting of specialist assessment, diagnosis, direct and indirect interventions and advice to a wide range of patients and their carers, including those with complex difficulties, who have communication and swallowing needs.
*To formulate goal centred treatment plans and delegate appropriately to assistants or generic care assistants who work as members of the multidisciplinary team.
*To work autonomously and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring the communication of information to all health and social care agencies involved, to meet the needs of the patient and plan effective care.
*To provide supervision and support to junior staff, assistants and students
