Mediplacements are recruiting for a specialist adult speech therapist

You will be responsible for the management of communication and swallowing needs of adults living with neurological conditions in the community, including stroke, acquired brain injury, and progressive neuro conditions such as PD, MND etc. You will be expected to work within the community neuro multidisciplinary team (occupational therapy, physiotherapy, clinical psychology, rehab support workers), and to independently manage your caseload of patients living with often complex neuro conditions. You will see patients at home or nursing homes, in clinic, or on community sites.
You will be expected to have at least 2 years experience working with adults, including stroke and neurological conditions, ideally with experience in the community. You will be expected to be able to independently manage complex dysphagia cases.
The post is full time: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, for 3 months.
