We have a number of Support Worker vacancies with an established healthcare provider within the Gloucestershire and surrounding areas. We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Support Worker to provide support to adults and young people with various needs to make a positive difference to their lives.
You will be required to have the following:
Care experience is desirable.
Relevant courses are desirable but not essential i.e. Health and Social Care, NVQ
Good communication skills.
The ability to manage challenging situations.
A full, clean driving license would be an advantage but not essential
An enhanced DBS check is required.
Duties
You will support and encourage individuals to remain as active and independent as possible within the constraints of their needs
Helping with daily personal care of individuals under the general guidance of senior staff. Ensuring that personal care is carried out with absolute dignity and respect
Preparing and sharing mealtimes with the individual you are supporting
Accompanying the people we support to attend activities in the community
Assisting the individual with household duties such as shopping and cleaning
Assisting the individual with finance management
Accurately keep records up to date.
