Mediplacements is currently recruiting for a Senior Theatre Practitioner to join the scrub team of a state of the art private hospital in London.

In the last 10 years they have been part of a 500 million project, investing in the latest treatment, technology and medication. The specialist surgical teams use the very latest surgical technology including the most advanced Da Vinci Robot and state of the art diagnostic imaging equipment.

Job Role

As the Senior Theatre Practitioner (Scrub) you will be responsible for assisting the Surgeon with patient care throughout their surgical procedure. You will prepare equipment and instruments and making sure they are all accounted for at the end of surgery, ensuring the ongoing sterility of the operating theatre and that the national standards are met.
You will also be involved in the mentoring of junior members of the team.
You will be working 37.5 hours per week (Early, Late shifts, On Call and weekends)
It will be your responsibility to prepare equipment and instruments according to the individual needs of the patient and Surgeon
Involvement with the updating of Surgeon preference cards
Ensure all equipment and instruments are accounted for at the end of surgery
Work closely with Sterile Services to ensure effective decontamination of equipment and instruments you must also ensure you maintain a sterile environment within the operating theatre.
