Mediplacements are looking for a highly skilled Radiographer, to join a well-established Healthcare Provider based in Essex.

Job Summary
You will work as a part of the Diagnostics Team within different specialist areas within Radiology and you'll do it in an innovative, clean, modern working environment, while benefiting from support and training opportunities, plus the time and patient ratio that ensure the highest quality of care. Participation in the on call rota will be required.

Main duties and responsibilities:
*Perform radiological procedures within the department, on the ward and in theatre, as required, in accordance with department protocols and Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations (IRMER)
*Provide the clinical lead either within a specialist field or as a team leader
*Review policies, procedures and protocols, and make recommendations regarding their content and application within area of responsibility
*Provide supervision and development of more junior staff

Requirements:
*BSc in Radiography and relevant / DCR Diagnostic Radiography or Equivalent.
*HCPC Registration
*Have Post-graduate mammography/radiography experience.
*Competency in demonstrating an understanding of the requirements for safe clinical practice and an understanding of the responsibilities of adhering to Ionising Radiation legislation such as, IRMER 2000 and IRR 1999.
