Job Role
The role involves working closely with a lead consultant in the trust for both Breast Cancer and Prostate Cancer. The individual will provide support to patients throughout their pathway working closely with the chemotherapy day unit team.
The Macmillan sponsored unit currently accommodates around 14 patients at a time, but is being expanded later on this year.
You will work within a team of skilled chemotherapy nurses as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team, in addition you will be present in the consultants outpatient clinics. With the planned expansion of the unit we are looking to further enhance the service and provide patients with specialist nursing care.
There will be plenty of opportunities for staff to develop their knowledge and skills with support for on-going professional development to advance your clinical skills and knowledge.
