What do you like about your job?
I am passionate about making people hear!
I love the challenges that being an Audiologist brings, I see every patient as a challenge and strive to overcome every single one and improve their quality of life!
I love meeting and working with new people and love learning new things, and I’ve found the best way to do this is to experience different departments. As a locum I’ve worked in some extremely busy units in my time, as-well-as some very sleepy units where I’ve been the sole Audiologist, these different dynamics are what keeps me interested.
Personal achievements within your role?
I’ve been asked to stay on permanently by every client I have locumed for which is very flattering, and I was recently requested by the client from my very first locum placement, over 4 1/2 years ago, which was a huge complement, I must have made a good impression!
How do you unwind from work?
Asides Audiology, I have quite a few interests and hobbies like Music and Hi-Fi, Electronics, Computers, Gaming, Marine fish, Aircraft, Photography, playing Tennis, fast cars and good food!
