Mediplacements are delighted to confirm that as part of the Healthcare Employment Consortium (HEC) we have been awarded a major contract for the provision of temporary Allied Health Professionals (AHP) and Healthcare Sciences Services (HSS) staff to the NHS throughout the south central region.
The contract could potentially run for up to three years and gives PRO-CURE member Trusts across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Hampshire for the first time just one agency to contact for 27 different professions.
HEC is aiming to deliver enhanced services for Trusts with better quality staff, improved candidate screening, high fill rates and a single administrative process. Among the other benefits are significant savings for Trusts and increased control of temporary staff expenditure.
“Our member Trusts have been dealing with a multitude of different agencies at variable rates”, says Alan Potter, a member of PRO-CURE’S Purchasing Team. “This contract simplifies the whole process, ensuring a more efficient and effective service.”
HEC was appointed as ‘Master Vendor’ following a formal selection process of NHS Purchasing and Supply Agency approved agencies. Steve Porter, Operations Director for Mediplacements explains.
“All the HEC member agencies have put a great deal of effort into forming the Consortium, addressing operational issues and communicating our services to SHAs. We’re delighted to have secured such an important contract and be able to offer our candidates exclusive access to the jobs throughout the south central region."
“I believe that we have the capability to deliver an exemplary level of service to PRO-CURE’s member Trusts that will provide a benchmark for vendor mManaged services across the NHS.”
The contract, which went live on Monday 4th December 2006, operates under the terms of the current NHS PASA National Framework agreement and includes jobs for the following professions:

* Cardiac Physiologists
