Major Contract Award - NHS East of England

Mediplacements in association with the HEC has been awarded Master Vendor status for the provision of temporary Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) and Healthcare Sciences Services (HSS) staff to the NHS East of England Collaborative Procurement Hub. The Hub delivers procurement benefits for most NHS Trusts in the Essex, Cambridgeshire and Suffolk regions of the country. Implementation began on 5 November when Managers were asked to make all placements in these staff categories through HEC.

Chris Knowles, Contract Manager for HEC, explains the importance of the award.

“This is one of the last major areas to be awarded so we are delighted to have been selected out of the 32 NHS approved agencies. The contract will deliver multiple benefits for East of England, including cost savings through competitive rates and time saving through one stop sourcing. This also enables us to offer an even wider range of positions to our candidates”.
