Testimonials
Alicia – Locum Audiologist
" I am writing to highly recommend Mediplacements as an agency for finding audiology work in the UK. In my time in the U.K I used three different agencies of all three I found Mediplacements to be the most outstanding. I highly recommend Simon who I found extremely genuine and friendly as well as efficient. He always kept in contact and I found him very helpful in regards to finding work, he was also caring and supportive. This was especially evident when my bank had made several errors and Simon was able to arrange support regarding my pay!"
Ceri Soulsby – Locum Audiologist
"Mediplacements is one of the few agencies to show a genuine interest in maintaining their Audiologists’ happiness and satisfaction within the workplace. Their agents are friendly and attentive, always willing to go the extra mile. Requests, big or small, are dealt with promptly and efficiently. You are not put on hold for hours. They provide an excellent service in terms of timely, weekly or monthly payments, posted weekly payslips, help with National Insurance and other tax issues, banking (available savings and pension schemes), accommodation (if needed) and transport. As an overseas-trained Audiologist, I found MediPlacements really helped me get my feet on the ground. Settling in the UK has been made a lot easier thanks to their help, and that leaves more time for fun!"
Rachel Broadhurst - Locum Audiologist
"I have to date had two placements as an audiologist through Mediplacements. On both occasions I was given a choice of various hospitals that required locum staff. At the beginning of each term at Mediplacements organised my accommodation enabling me to arrive and start work with no problems. Any problems that did arise were swiftly dealt with. I have been made to feel as part of the team and would highly recommended Mediplacements to both potential locums and locum employers."
Arveni Dooki - Senior Audiologist
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff of Mediplacements, especially the Audiology team managed by Mr Simon Woodward, for supporting me through my work experience as a locum. I have been working as a Senior Audiologist in a locum capacity since April 2005.
I was nervous about working abroad, but Helen was helpful and supportive with the whole relocation phase. She put my mind at ease by having a job already in place even before I left home. The free mobile supplied helped keep me in contact with my family back in South Africa. I was also grateful for the support and guidance received in my application for a bank account, which was a challenge. It could have been a nasty experience but the experience that Mediplacement has gained in offering locums the help they need has made my journey thus far a better experience.
During my time in the UK I have worked in 4 different hospitals, which meant I have moved 4 times. Through the stress of living a nomadic life, my one constant was Mediplacements. I have formed a close partnership with the staff and have even developed good friendships. Simon has been great, efficient in meeting my professional and personal needs. He has been able to find me work in the areas I desired and supported me through the constant change. When things went wrong, the damage control was efficient and effective. I have been loyal to Mediplacements because of the efficiency and support.
As an audiologist who is always aiming to improve myself both personally and professionally, Mediplacements has sponsored me to attend the British Academy of Audiology 2005. It was an honour to belong to the fastest growing recruitment agency in the UK. The knowledge gained has empowered me to offer my patient’s a better service.
They have assisted me in finding jobs, as well as accommodation, even planning the journey to my new placement.
Locum work can be stressful, but having the support of people who understand your specific needs & who knows you on a personal level makes that difference. Simon was not only my agent but also a friend.
Thank you for making my journey smoother. To all the staff at Mediplacements, have a wonderful festive season.
Kind regards
Arveni Dooki
Anna Witt - Senior Audiologist
I’m writing to say how happy I have been working as a Mediplacements Locum Audiologist over the last two years.
In particular I will be waxing lyrical over your Audiology Team Leader, Simon Woodward, so I apologise in advance about any ”gushiness” in this letter.
Prior to working for Mediplacements I had stayed at the hospital I trained at (RNTNEH, Grays Inn Road) for 8 years. I remember meeting Simon there a few years ago when he rather pushily placed his business card in the palm of my hand and said “…..if you ever want to become a locum etc…..” At the time I rolled my eyes, but with hindsight I’m glad he did. As part of my time at the RNTNEH, I became a Chief Audiologist and regularly had to call on Mediplacements for staff and Simon was always very accommodating. I always remember that the standard of his/ your locums were very good, particularly when we had another agency double invoicing us.
Towards the end of my time at RNTNEH I began to wonder if there was an Audiology world outside that hospital, so decided to consider becoming a locum. Doing some research, I decided that Mediplacements suited me best and Simon had stuck in my mind from my previous discussions and contact with him, and he was obviously very keen to take me on.
I was very nervous about becoming a locum, but Simon was very supportive and allayed my fears. I have constantly been in work since joining, my pay has always been generous and Simon has always been brilliant at trying to find local work for me.
Whenever I had a problem, again Simon and all your other Mediplacments staff have always been very helpful and even if I had difficulty getting through to someone, a message was taken and I was always spoken to the same day. Issues relating to salary were always very swiftly dealt with and that left me feeling reassured.
In short, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mediplacements to any colleague thinking of becoming a locum or considering changing agencies. Indeed I know a few locums that have changed to Mediplacements and they certainly don’t regret their decision. Overseas locums I have worked with always speak highly of the agency, saying that the transition to living/ working in this country went very smoothly with assistance available with finding accommodation, organising tax and permits to work etc…
In conclusion (at last, I hear you sigh), I am happy for this letter (all or in part) to be published on your website or in any publication relating to Mediplacements. I have cc’d this letter to Simon via email so that he can facilitate this.
My current post is going quite well but I’ll be back if the stress of a permanent management role is getting too much!
Wishing you every success in the future of Mediplacements.
Yours Sincerely, Mrs Anna Witt

I couldn't let the last 5+ years go by without thanking you for all you have done for me whilst I have been locuming through Mediplacements.
You have always considered my needs and wishes when matching me to hospitals and consequently I been happy in all my placements.
The last couple of years have been more complicated for me with moving to Ireland and needing to travel back to the UK periodically to work. You have been helpful, reassuring and patient and always there at the end of the phone. I have worked with other locum agencies in the past but if my new job here doesn't work out I will be straight on the phone to you confident about the very high quality of service you provide.
I have met many other locums on my travels in the UK and have only ever heard good opinions of you.
Good luck to you Simon, best wishes to Helen
Rosie
