Refer an Audiologist

Getting a good amount of exercise, enjoying a nutritious diet and spending time with friends are all activities dementia patients could do to hold back their symptoms, one expert has said.
June Andrews, director of the Dementia Services Development Centre at the University of Stirling, has said these activities slow down the progression of dementia symtoms to a degree.
She added that letting more light into the living space of a dementia patient could also help stave off some symptoms for a while.
This comes after a report by the Alzheimer's Society said that around a quarter of a million people with dementia are being let down by unsatisfactory care, with approximately 50,000 of these being forced into care earlier.
"This report confirms what those of us in the field find every day. There are things that you can do to help yourself stay well and out of care, and a lot of health and social care workers don't know about them and are not in a position to pass on that information to people with dementia and their carers," she said.
