Hospital doctor jobs 'not going to waste' in Redcar

Following criticism from a local MP, a key figure from NHS Redcar and Cleveland has said that a multi-million-pound healthcare facility – and the hospital doctor jobs it has created – is being well used by local residents.
Redcar's MP recently said that the town's £37 million Primary Care Hospital, which opened in January 2010, was not being used to its full potential, the BBC reported.
But Martin Phillips, director of health systems development for the local NHS trust, told the broadcaster that it had provided a significant boost to those in hospital doctor jobs – and an improved service for patients.
"Inpatient beds on the Zetland Ward have been at more than 80% capacity since the facility opened in December last year," he added.
As well as the in-patient ward, the Redcar Primary Care Hospital includes a minor injuries department, GP practices and a number of physiotherapy job opportunities.
Earlier this month, a report supported by the Royal College of Physicians suggested that hospital doctor jobs needed to include more non-clinical training, in areas such as leadership and professionalism.
