Audiology jobs: Hearing specialist's novel 'destined for Hollywood'

Those seeking audiology jobs may be interested to hear of one hearing specialist's success, as a novel he wrote between hospital shifts is set to be made into a Hollywood film.
The psychological thriller Before I Go To Sleep was penned by audiologist Steve Watson, of Stourbridge in the West Midlands, while he worked at London's St Thomas's Hospital, the Express and Star reported.
Female stars including Angelina Jolie, Kate Winslet and Cate Blanchett have all been tipped for the lead role, while award-winning director Sir Ridley Scott is expected to take on production duties.
"It's quite difficult for me to get my head round all this. Any writer dreams of being published. I had this fantasy that someone would make a film, but never dreamed it would come true," Dr Watson told the news provider.
Meanwhile, recent findings from HearingDirect.com have revealed the extent to which deafness can affect married couples.
One third of patients surveyed admitted that their inability to hear properly was the leading cause of arguments with their spouse.
