A new survey has revealed that people looking for pharmacy jobs in the south of England could play an important role encouraging others to use the sector's services.
Research by NHS Hampshire found that 61.5 per cent of people had not taken up the health and wellbeing options on offer, such as stop smoking advice, during the past year.
From 1,136 responses, just short of five per cent had gone to a pharmacy seeking help to kick the habit, while 3.5 per cent had used cholesterol testing.
Furthermore, just 0.4 per cent had taken advantage of the Chlamydia treatment services in the county's pharmacies.
The Portsmouth News reported that the most popular aids which those looking for pharmacy jobs might use, include blood pressure testing and chatting about how medication should be taken.
NHS Cumbria is currently running a survey to see how its pharmacy services are being used by the general public in the north-west of the country.
