Podiatrists and pharmacists move into new Oldham health centre

A new healthcare facility has opened its doors in the small town of Royton, near Oldham in Greater Manchester, with an on-site pharmacy and podiatry services being included in the centre's offerings.
The Manchester Evening News reported that the £10 million development would replace the "cramped and poorly-laid-out" Royton Health Centre building on nearby Rochdale Road.
Located on Park Street, the new three-storey building boasts two GP practices, a pharmacy, community and school nursing teams, a specialist child health clinic and podiatry services.
"This has been in the pipeline, as part of the development work we’ve been doing with our private and public sector partners, for more than five years," said NHS Oldham chief executive Gail Richards.
She went on to say that the new facilities would help local people make the best possible use of the NHS by "using its services wisely".
Earlier this week, the Norfolk and Waveney Mental Health Trust opened a new centre in Wymondham.
