Scotland health village 'to create podiatry job opportunities'

Plans for a £29 million 'health village' in Aberdeen have reportedly been given the green light, which could see podiatry job opportunities being created.
According to the Aberdeen Press and Journal, councillors approved the NHS application for a new development in Frederick Street at a meeting this week.
The new health centre is expected to provide specialist services covering sexual health and radiology, as well as creating dietician job opportunities and positions for those seeking a podiatry job.
Aberdeen City Council's head of planning, Maggie Bochel, told the news provider that the health village facility would have a "significant positive impact" on city-centre regeneration.
"In addition to its positive physical townscape impact, the proposal would have significant public-interest benefits by the provision of major health care facilities, and retention and creation of employment," she said.
Earlier this week, ThisIsLancashire.co.uk reported that a new medical centre could soon be built in the Lancashire town of Kearsley, potentially creating medical jobs in the region.
