Hospital doctor jobs to benefit from further training

An Essex hospital criticised by a health watchdog last year has reportedly made significant improvements to its training of those in hospital doctor jobs.
Basildon Hospital was deemed to have "major problem" in 2009, when inspectors from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) saw instruments splattered with blood being used by the institution's staff.
In its latest report, the CQC has said that improvements had been made, but that Basildon and Thurrock University NHS Foundation Trust must offer training to its staff in hospital doctor jobs.
"The trust has made progress against the conditions applied during registration. But we have recently identified that there is still more to be done on certain aspects of staff practices and training," CQC regional director Frances Carey told the news provider.
Meanwhile, the need for hospital doctor jobs vacancies to be filled has been highlighted by the announcement that Queen Mary's Sidcup hospital is to temporarily close two departments as a result of staff shortages.
