Podiatry job seekers 'should consider European opportunities'

Medical graduates weighing up their choices in terms of hospital doctor jobs may wish to consider a podiatry job in a European country such as Poland, after research revealed that a better quality of life could be on offer.
According to a study by comparison website uSwitch.com, the UK and Ireland are among the worst places in Europe for quality of life, which may encourage more candidates to consider a podiatry job overseas.
The survey ranked France top, as it spends the most on healthcare, while its people enjoy the earliest retirement age and best life expectancy. Poland came in fourth place, also offering much earlier retirement than the UK.
"Last year, compared with our European neighbours, we were miserable but rich. This year, we're miserable and poor," commented Ann Robinson, director of consumer policy for the company.
Meanwhile, those seeking UK medical jobs were reminded of the need for constant professionalism, after a West Midlands physiotherapist was found guilty of misconduct charges, after swearing at his colleagues.
