Hospital doctor jobs in Coventry 'difficult vacancies to fill'

A senior staff member at Coventry University Hospital has reportedly claimed that a national shortage of graduates was making it difficult to fill hospital doctor jobs vacancies in the region.
The Coventry Telegraph reported how Dr Matt Robbins, associate specialist in emergency medicine, had said at a recent public meeting that shortages were making the maintenance of accident and emergency departments at other Warwickshire hospitals impossible.
His comments were supported by health officials who confirmed that, while they had little difficulty filling senior hospital doctor jobs vacancies, middle-grade staff were in short supply.
"We have consistently had around ten mid-level vacancies for doctors over the last two years," Dr Robbins added.
Meanwhile, research by high street bank Santander has revealed that students soon to be looking for UK medical jobs are more confident about their chances than graduates interested in other roles.
