Hartlepool hospital cleanliness standards praised by body

The National Patent Safety Agency (NSPA) has applauded the efforts of a hospital in Hartlepool for its efforts to improve its services and surroundings.
According to the Hartlepool Mail, Sandwell Park Hospital has been rated excellent by the organisation in three categories - food, privacy and dignity and environment - in its annual patient environment action team assessments.
The NSPA is an arm's length body of the Department of Health.
Commenting on the news, Linda Parsons, associate director of operational services for Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust - which runs the establishment - said: "We are delighted with the results that have been announced and it is testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff who are constantly looking for ways to improve the patient experience."
She added those admitted to the hospital are right to expect it to take care of them in a safe and clean environment.
