Pharmacists 'begin work in reopened centre'

A number of people with pharmacy jobs have begun working in a reopened centre.
Following a decision by the Welsh assembly government to grant permission for the chemist to operate once again, Rowlands Pharmacy in the Red Hall Shopping Precinct in Connah's Quay has begun serving local people, the Flintshire Chronicle reports.
Five years ago, the facility in the north Wales town - which is located on the River Dee - was shut down, but ever since residents in the surrounding area have been calling for the decision to be reversed.
Carl Sargeant was among those who welcomed the new development.
He noted that elderly people value the service provided by the pharmacy and will benefit as a result of the reinstatement.
Meanwhile, local councillor Aaron Shotton said: "A petition was formed four years ago to call for the reopening of the much-valued chemist and after a long campaign, I am positive that local residents will welcome the facility."
