Pharmacists involved in fundraising activities

A number of people with pharmacy jobs in the north-west of England have been involved in an initiative to raise money for charity.
The Runcorn-based Rowlands pharmacy has so far generated more than £150,000 for children's charity the NSPCC, the Runcorn & Widnes Weekly News reports.
Among the activities occurring as part of the scheme are relay races, cake baking and racing sweepstakes.
According to Kenny Black, managing director of Rowlands Pharmacy - which currently has 450 community outlets located throughout Scotland, Wales and England - the company's ethos is about caring for people and their families.
Since children are a big part of this, the organisation wanted to do something that would make a difference to youngsters who are in less favourable circumstances so the NSPCC was selected.
He added: "I would like to thank everyone at Rowlands for their continued support.
"Raising over £150,000 is an incredible achievement."
