Podiatrists to work in new medical centre

A new health centre in the north-west will provide podiatrists, orthopaedic surgeons and rheumatology experts for residents of the region.
The Birkenhead Medical Building, situated in the Wirral, was visited by local MP Frank Field when it opened on Friday (June 16th) and will provide patients with longer opening hours and a more flexible service.
According to the Wirral News, the Laird Street facility will also offer physiotherapy and mental health support and a pharmacy is scheduled to be launched later in the summer.
Mr Field told the newspaper: "I am a local patient and I think this new set-up is excellent. This health centre will benefit my constituents - right in the heart of Birkenhead."
The Stourbridge News recently reported that podiatry jobs have been created at a new health and social care centre in Dudley, West Midlands, which will also provide speech and language therapy to nearby residents.
