Phlebotomists to begin working in new centre

A number of people with phlebotomy jobs are to start work in a new facility next month.
In July, they will join other medical professionals in providing services at Pinderfields Hospital.
Costing £300 million, the centre has already opened and a number of provisions are underway, such as orthotics and clinical psychology.
Commenting on the development, Joanne Kendall, whose son Joshua Lindley has cerebral palsy quadriplegia, said it is welcome.
She remarked: "The new hospital is fantastic and much-needed. There's nothing wrong with the old one as I think it's the people that make a hospital but it's great to have new, fresh facilities on our doorstep."
The facility is run by Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust - which was formed in April 2002 and provides services for around half-a-million people in areas such as South Leeds, North Yorkshire, Barnsley and Doncaster, as well as the Wakefield district and north Kirklees.
