University to get new radiography facilities

Students at the University of Bradford who are training to be radiographers are set to benefit from modernisation plans.
Under a £5.5 million contract with ISG, the establishment is preparing to relocate its School of Health Studies.
And in addition to the construction of a striking new structure, it will see a radiography suite installed in the Horton Building.
Regional director at ISG John Gittins explained the firm has established a relationship with the university over a number of years.
"The School of Health Studies relocation project … underlines [the University of Bradford's] ambition to become the learning destination of choice for students from across the UK and overseas," he said.
Around £500,000 is to be spent on upgrading equipment by the university, which traces its origins back to the 1860s and currently has around 10,000 students.
Sustainability is also to be a key concern, with solar shading panels used in the construction of the new building.
