A number of pharmacies in the north-east of Scotland have joined a new initiative intended to raise awareness of the importance of bowel cancer screening.
Professionals working in such medical centres are taking part in a campaign which involves displaying posters extolling the benefits of getting tested for the condition, the Press and Journal reports.
The visual aids show a number of people standing at a bus stop, with the slogan "We've done the test - have you?" also present.
Commenting on the project, Professor Robert Steele from NHS Grampian - which provides services to around half a million people - said it will get people talking and break certain taboos that may currently exist.
He added: "Pharmacy advertising is designed to help people feel less awkward about the subject, seek information and ask questions."
Having the posters in medication dispensaries around the area should hopefully result in more people being screened, he noted.
