Pharmacy jobs may be created in Derbyshire

A decision by a local authority may lead to the creation of pharmacy jobs in the South Derbyshire village of Hilton.
According to reports in the Burton Mail, members of the South Derbyshire District Council have granted permission for the construction of a medicine dispensary at the Wellbrook Medical Centre, which provides services to more than 9,000 patients in the area.
It was decided that, despite security concerns, it was worth going ahead with the project because the location is convenient for residents.
Initially, the pharmacy will be in place for two years, while permission is sought for a permanent building.
Responding to the development, councillor Michael Bale revealed he was disappointed that the application put forward was not for a permanent structure.
At first, it was thought the pharmacy would be in place for three years while plans were laid for an indefinite alternative, but this was revised down by 12 months.
