Pharmacists start work in new centre

A number of people with pharmacy jobs in the north-west of England have begun work in a new health facility.
The Co-operative Pharmacy has moved from its previous location to the Lowe House Healthcare Resource Centre, St Helens Today reports.
Managing director of the medication dispensary service John Nuttall said his team are "delighted" to be part of the revamped offerings.
He claimed the development will bring significant benefits to the local community.
Mr Nuttall added: "Pharmacists are playing an increasing role in helping patients manage their own health and by working closely with other healthcare professionals we can offer patients greater choice, convenience and high quality services."
As well as more traditional responsibilities, the pharmacy will also cover hearing checks and nutritional therapy, among other things.
Describing itself as the UK's third-largest chain of its kind, the Co-operative Pharmacy claims to have dispensed over 60 million prescription in 2008.
